She’s Crafty: Wedding Edition: Stick ’em Up

I’m bringing it back now. Way back to our very first wedding craft. It happened almost exactly a year before our wedding date. With the help of a very talented graphic designer girlfriend of mine, the wedding madness began like this:

Pretty cute, huh?

I’m not entirely sure how she did it but clearly it’s based off of all of those destination stickers/magnets you can get at souvenir shops on vacation – including the Outer Banks! I told her my idea:

She told me no one knows what OBX stands for (and she was right!) so we added the little bit of explanation on the side and called it a day.

And we were done! Well, almost. Then came the printing and the cutting…

Lots of cutting!

And because we love our friends and family sooo much, we also decided to add a fun surprise to the envelopes:

Trust me, they loved it. Despite the fact that we got about 50 phone calls to the contrary (including one by an Army vet who didn’t open it for a week because of the unidentified substance – whoops)!

Ah, well. It all worked out in the end!

TIP: When printing on magnetic paper, our old printer worked better on the matte than the shiny. The matte magnets that we made are sadly fading quite a bit faster than the matte versions we sent out. :( ALSO – crafting in your pajamas makes everything go much smoother. ;)
