Wedding Bells: More Location Talk

I realize I’m all over the place with this but check out this place:

Below is the Vertigo Room at Artisan Works here in Rochester.

Trust me when I tell you that the photos don’t do it justice.

The room and halls leading up to it are FILLED with art purchased from local artists. Hosting events is how the company makes money to purchase more art.

Looks crazy, I know, but in person this place is ridiculous…in a good way.

PLUS: no decoration needed! Do you know how much time, effort and $$$ that will save us?

The only thing is we haven’t yet received the quote to see if we can even afford Artisan Works.

Being the first venue that actually got us excited about planning the wedding, I’d say this location is high up on the list.

PP What do you think? Can you see it or no? I wish I could take every person who is going to be at the wedding here to see what the general consensus is but I think I’m leaning towards it. By the way, this is me NOT getting excited about it (says JB) in case it’s way out of our price range and the reason why now I will bring my personal camera to every venue or cake testing or anything we do regarding the wedding! (All photos courtesy of ArtisanWorks.net).

UPDATE: Check out THIS website to see an amazing wedding held in this venue!

I LOVE IT!!!!! Would go with your possible “retro” wedding. Will it hold your number of people? Would love to drive up to see it, if and when you book.

Wow, Em, I think it’s great. It is so different but I could totally see you there. And you are right about savings on the decor. Let me know when you know if the cost is in your reach or not. Just remember that there is a lot going on, so all that will be in your pictures. Might be distracting and the focus may turn away from you. But it might not. Love ya.

    Hey Em!

Thanks for the link. I think you should talk to Victoria Benz who is AWESOME and is the coordinator at Artisan Works — also — the girl who’s in the slideshow is Stacy K from Stacy K Floral — and she totally worked out all the issues you are thinking about — so I’d talk to her too!

Its a FANTASTIC place and the visuals only ENHANCE the experience — so creative and fun and colorful!

Oh my goodness! Tammy Swales! Your photography is beautiful! My fiance and I already spoke with Victoria and are anxiously awaiting our quote – woe to the wedding budget!

PS I have shamelessly stalked both you and Stacy K to find wedding inspiration! What you two were able to create was simply stunning!

  4. Tam says:

Awwww…that’s awesome! You don’t have to stalk us — we are here! ;)

What are you thinking? I would love to hear from you!
