She’s Crafty: Glittering Champagne

I love sparkly things. I love shiny things. I love glitter. However, no matter how much I claim to love these things, it will always pale in comparison to how much my girlfriend Andrea loves these things. Naturally, when this pin showed up on my landing page, I knew I had to make them for her.

I wanted to play with some colors. She loves black and pink and has purple dishes but I wanted to make them transferable if she ever changes up her glassware and plates. With this in mind, I chose black and gold:

I painted on the black first. I tried to get it to blend by applying a few thin layers of the gold over the thicker layer of black and then stretching just beyond it.

You can find the entire easy to follow tutorial over at Something Turquoise. I highly recommend it for the glitter loving gal in your life. :)

I also made another set that I will post up on my According to Boyle Etsy page. Just waiting for the right light for photographing them!
